Meet an important romantic pairing from Crystals of Ulstra

I’ve already told you about Koralo and Roko, the primary romantic pairing in Crystals of Ulstra, my upcoming queer normative debut fantasy novel coming out this December.

Today, I’m introducing another prominent romantic pairing you’ll read about—accompanied by the first artistic depiction of a character from you haven’t met yet.

Lazuro is an entitled prince who covets his father’s crown. He competes with his scheming twin brother for his parents’ affection—and for a future seat on the throne.

A couple of years before the events of the book, Lazuro’s father, the mad king Rego Aglo, hires a new royal advisor from a distant land, Taguno, as mysterious as he is handsome. Lazuro, having led a sheltered life so far, contends with his first budding romantic feelings for another person. Despite an age gap and Taguno’s role working for the king, Lazuro pursues a relationship, Taguno is unable to resist him, and a forbidden romance blooms.

Is this real love, simple lust, or passion fueled by different motivations altogether?
